Coach Alyssa started pursuing her passion for health and fitness at Niagara College. She completed a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion where she played volleyball in the OCAA. During her time at Niagara College, she graduated in the top 5% of her class and earned an All-Canadian Academic and Athletic award for her achievements.

These two years left Coach Alyssa craving a more in depth understanding of body mechanics and nutrition. She decided to pursue her education further and Kinesiology at the University of Guelph-Humber was a natural fit for her. The program offered a more hands-on approach to exercise periodization and biomechanics. During her time there, Alyssa got a research position in Guelph University's human cadaver lab where she focused on the latissimus dorsi and it's roll in lumbar spine stability. This experience opened up a new-found passion for biomechanics, anatomy and the intricacies of the spinal column. After graduating with honours and distinction, Alyssa was accepted to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College for their Doctor of Chiropractic program. After a long and gruelling four years at chiropractic college, Coach and Dr. Alyssa are proud to live and work in beautiful Barrie. Teaching at Orangetheory fulfills the fun, loud and outgoing side of Coach Alyssa; while being a chiropractor fulfills the nurturing, problem-solving side of her. Outside of Orangetheory, you can find her at Essa Road Chiropractic or running along Barrie's waterfront.

Sydney is an enthusiastic and encouraging trainer who has a passion for both fitness and nutrition. Born and raised in Barrie, Sydney has always loved group sports and personal fitness as well as healthy eating. She was that strange kid who would snack on mushrooms in the grocery store while all the others grabbed the cookies... so it is in her blood. After finishing her nutrition degree at the University of Guelph, she has since become a certified personal trainer, started her own business, and completed her very first half-marathon. Sydney is devoted to helping others reach their individual goals through her personal touches, nutritional advice, and always bringing a fun and challenging enthusiasm to her classes. 
 
WHAT DO YOU BURN FOR?
I burn for the overall well-being and the awesome feeling I get after finishing each workout knowing I gave it my all.
 
WHAT’S YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
This is a tough one. I would have to go with Chicago mix popcorn... it's my kryptonite.
 
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE OTF EXERCISE?
I absolutely love ultimate burpees. I know, call me crazy. But they incorporate the entire body and get your heart racing all at the same time. You can't ask for more than that!
Nicole started in the fitness industry as a Reebok Spin Instructor in 2010 and went on to complete her Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer certifications with Canfitpro. Nicole believes in making health and wellness a lifestyle, while taking a holistic approach to fitness to help her clients achieve their personal goals. Nicole has a background in dance and soccer, and is also certified in Tap Dancing, Barre, TRX, Keiser Cycle and BoneFit. She believes in the value of life-long learning and is always looking for ways to improve her skills. Nicole is also a certified Physiotherapist Assistant and when she can find the time she enjoys putting her Fine Art Degree to good use.

Power days. Any and all.
Helen grew up being consistently active. She was always exploring many different forms of fitness and physical education through a variety of sports and activities. She has trained competitively in highland dance, soccer and kickboxing. Any activity that challenged her and pushed her physically was an activity that she was always up for. Helen is Canfit Pro certified and has had experience in personal training, team training and dance conditioning. For Helen, fitness is a way of life. She loves sharing this passion with everyone she meets and working at Orangetheory Fitness has been the perfect fit for her.
